Kudos to the learning community who turned up and opened up for Stories We Can All Learn From. The brilliant panel included Gayle Tong, Ger Driesen and Myles Runham with Stella Collins as Chair, fifteen brave learning professionals who contributed via StoryTagger and more than forty people sharing their stories and lessons live.
It was a great session that helped us all reflect on our past learning mistakes and share how we overcame them to help us solve challenges in the future. This is just the start.

Don’t skip the basics: make sure people can access learning and they know it’s there.
Consult and steer effectively to achieve customer goals without wasting time and money: it’s important to remember you’re the expert and can lead these conversations.
Listen: to evidence, to customers and most importantly to your users, but remember to apply judgement and instinct to decision-making.
Don’t lose focus on the big picture: it’s easy to get sucked into the detail with a tech project without zooming back out to why you’re doing it in the first place.
Be sensitive to competition for attention: Share the value, be clear about the purpose behind using different technologies as part of an ecosystem and keep the experience as seamless as possible.
